Hi Partner Companies,
We wanted to let you know of some minor but important changes coming to Baton's Pricing Terms, effective May 15, 2024. They were designed with Baton partner feedback in mind, to help generate more referrals and boost payouts across the network.
Some updates may affect you, some might not. Here’s a quick overview:
- Phasing out paying "Per Sale", "Percentage of Revenue": We're moving exclusively to a Per Qualified Referral or Call system (which 90%+ of partners already use) and will phase out by May 15 the ability for partners to pay only upon closed sales. This will help referring providers get paid faster, and reduce admin time spent on reporting. The exception will be for big-ticket referrals that result in a minimum of $500 commission per sale.
- Simplified Revenue Sharing: All referral bids/fees will be split 50/50, doing away with unique terms for certain companies based on referral method or other arrangements. This will help us grow the Baton team to bring on more partners to refer leads to you and increase payouts for your referrals.
- Minimum Bids: To keep all partners maximally motivated to refer as many leads as they can, bids for referrals will required to be above minimum levels, even in low competition areas. Expect $15 minimum for wildlife removal and $25 for pest control; this will vary by region and service type.
- Pledge to Protect: For companies accepting our Pledge to Protect, there will be a $500 penalty for any breach of our anti-poaching agreement. This fee will allow us to make amends to the referring company that lost a customer, and encourage more companies to trust Baton with their referrals. Companies who don't want to pay the $500 can choose to stop accepting existing-customer referrals going forward.
