  6. Once the Pulse plugin is installed, you can configure it by going to Site administration > Plugins > Activity Modules > Pulse. From there, you can set up the credit system, enable notifications, and customize the Pulse modules.

Alternatively, you can also install the Pulse plugin manually. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Download the Pulse plugin from your bdecent account (Pulse Pro & Pulse Basic) or the Moodle plugins repository (Pulse Basic).

  2. Unzip the downloaded file.

  3. Upload the pulse folder to the moodle/mod directory on your Moodle server.

  4. Log in to your Moodle site as an administrator.

  5. Go to "Site administration > Notifications".

For further information about installing plugins, please refer to the official Moodle documentation.

If you already have Pulse Basic installed and want to upgrade to Pulse Pro refer to Upgrading to Pulse Pro.

Installing presets

The Pulse Pro plugin comes with preconfigured presets for Pulse activities. The XML file includes all presets that are added during installation. You can edit this file to install only the presets that are relevant to your specific needs.

Compatibility

The Pulse plugin is officially compatible with Moodle versions 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5. While other versions may work perfectly, they have not been tested.
