Control instances of a specific template via instance management (Pulse Pro)

Updated over 3 months ago

Instance management in the template settings lets you control all associated instances of a template. All courses of your Moodle installation are presented in a table with the following information: course category, course name and number of instances. In the last column ‘Actions’ you will find some actionable items.

  • Gear icon: Clicking this will lead you to the instances overview of this course.

  • Plus icon: Clicking this will add an associated instance to this course.

  • Status toggle: Clicking this enables or disables all associated instances in this course.

  • Calendar icon: Clicking this will lead you to the instances overview of this course.

  • Bin icon: Clicking this will delete all associated instances in this course. You have to confirm the deletion in a modal window.

When one or more courses in the table are selected, additional controls will appear below the table, allowing you to apply changes to all selected courses.

  • Delete instances: Clicking this will delete all associated instances in the selected courses. You have to confirm the deletion in a modal window.

  • Add instances: Clicking this will add an associated instance to each selected course.

  • Disable instances: Clicking this disables all associated instances in the selected courses.

  • Enable instances: Clicking this enables all associated instances in the selected courses.

Note: When adding an instance using instance management, the new instance will inherit all the template's settings. The reference for the instance will automatically be set to the name of the course it was added to.
