About

User inactivity can be used as a condition to trigger actions when a student has not accessed a course or has not completed any activities for a specified time.


Available settings

  • Status

    Determines whether the condition is active and which events are evaluated.

    • Disable – Disables the condition.

    • All – Actions are triggered by all users matching the inactivity criteria.

    • Upcoming – Actions are only triggered for users who are enrolled after the automation instance is enabled.

  • User inactivity

    Defines how inactivity is calculated.

    • Disabled - No inactivity tracking is applied.

    • Based on access – Inactivity is evaluated based on the last time the student accessed the course.

    • Based on activity completion – Inactivity is evaluated based on the last completed activity.

  • Included activities

    Defines which activities are considered when evaluating inactivity based on activity completion.

    • All activities – All activities in the course with completion tracking enabled are considered.

    • Completion relevant activities – Only activities that are configured as course completion conditions are considered.

  • Inactivity Period

    Defines the required period of inactivity before the condition is met.

  • Require previous activity

    Controls whether the student must have been active before the inactivity period starts.

    • No – No prior activity is required.

    • Yes – Prior activity is required.

  • Activity period

    Defines the time window in which prior activity must have occurred for the condition to apply.
