I chose regular processing. When will you update my invoice?

Your invoice will be updated after your I-140 has been approved.

I would like to pay my second payment by installments.

I'm sorry but you cannot change payment plans at this point in your process. You would have had to sign the contract for the monthly payment plan when you first enrolled in the process.

Should I take premium processing with the current backlog? Or What’s the difference between regular and premium processing?

Right now, USCIS' processing times for the I-140 without premium processing is 8.5-12 months. You can verify this information in USCIS website, Processing Times. Please note that processing times are subject to change.

If the I-140 is filed with premium processing, then USCIS will respond to the I-140 within 15 business days. The decision could be an approval, or it could be a Request for Evidence (RFE). If USCIS issues a RFE, they give the attorneys a few months to respond. After responding, USCIS has another 15 business days to make a final decision.

We highly recommend filing I-140 with premium processing. The reason why we recommend filing with premium processing is because it is in your best interest to have I-140 approved as soon as possible. It doesn't expire afterwards, and it saves you your priority date. If the visa bulletin jumps forward and your priority date becomes current, it is best to have the I-140 already be approved to be better prepared to file the I-485 and I-765.

Here is our article about premium processing.

I just made my payment. What’s next?

Once your payment has cleared our bank, you will be onboarded with the attorney within 3 business days.

What is this extra charge or Why do I have another invoice

The additional invoice in your account is for the USCIS filing fee increases that went into effect in early 2024. All clients must pay these increases.
