Can my spouse work with me?

While we cannot guarantee this, it is sometimes possible for your spouse to work at your sponsor as well. Many times, the sponsor will be glad for this arrangement as they are often desperate for workers.

If your spouse is interested in being hired at your sponsor location, please let us know and we will talk with the sponsor on your spouse's behalf to ask if there is space for them to work there. We can help schedule your orientation at the same time and even ask for a similar shift so that you can ride together (not guaranteed).

A less commonly asked question is "Can my spouse work FOR me?"

Meaning: "Can my spouse take my place in the EB-3 program so that they work and I do not work?"
Unfortunately, this is not possible after you get your work authorization. Your spouse cannot work in your place. The principle applicant on the LC, I-140, and EAD or visa must be the person to fulfill the job commitment.

Exception: if your LC is not filed yet, reach out to our Global Mobility Department, and you may be able to change the name to your spouse as the principal applicant.
