There are three steps to the green card process, the LC filing with the Department of Labor, the I-140 immigrant petition, and the actual green card application. At the LC step, filing the LC does not impact your ability to travel internationally.
You can travel internationally and re-enter the U.S. after your LC is filed and pending, if you have a valid passport and a valid visa stamp at the time of re-entry.
