No material difference. Once an EB-5 investor has been approved for the EB-5 immigrant visa, they will receive a 2-year conditional green card. The conditional green card is limited only in the sense that the EB-5 investor must file the I-829 petition to show their EB-5 investment was sustained throughout the 2-year conditional residency period and that they have satisfied the job creation requirement.

Once the I-829 petition is approved, and the conditions are removed, the EB-5 investor receives the unconditional or "permanent" green card, which is valid for 10 years.

There is no difference between the two cards in terms of the rights and privileges enjoyed as a lawful permanent resident.
