We know a successful move starts way before we ring the customer's doorbell. We arrive at the customer's home well-dressed, hydrated, and 10 minutes early.

What should I bring and wear?

We recommend wearing athletic clothes and closed-toes shoes.  The best thing to wear to a move is your complimentary Bellhop shirt that will be shipped to you once you reach Pro status. Having a crew that looks uniform improves your likelihood for tips and helps to ensure safety on the move. You may also find it helpful to bring a water bottle and light snacks.

Where do I park?

Parking locations vary by location, so the Lead should ask the customer where to park when they call them the day before. A little proactivity goes a long way, and may help you avoid a parking ticket.

When do I clock in?

Arrive 10 minutes early, and clock in when the team is ready to begin the walkthrough. Learn more on clocking in and out in this article.

What if the Lead Pro or other Pros are not there?

  1. If you arrive before your fellow movers, go ahead and introduce yourself to the customer.

  2. Call Bellhop HQ if your fellow bellhop does not arrive or answer the phone within 15 minutes.

  3. Bellhop HQ will get to work immediately locating your fellow movers.
