The $5.9M refund has been transferred to Beneplan members - it may take up to 10 business days for refunds to appear in member bank accounts.
Email communications have been sent to members and advisors about this announcement with links on how to access their 2020 dividend statements from the Beneplan platform.
May 28th 2021 - The $5.9M refund is currently in the process of being transferred to Beneplan from its insurer partners. Once this step is complete, the co-operative will begin to disburse these funds to its respective members. We anticipate this to occur in June 2021.
May 6th, 2021 - Publications including Yahoo Finance, Insurance Business Magazine, BPM Magazine, Canadian Business Journal and others feature Beneplan's historic refund story.
April 28th, 2021 - Beneplan hosted its annual general meeting with members to discuss findings of the 2020 annual report and vote on key matters such the approval of the auditor's statement.
April 20th, 2021 - Beneplan released the 2020 annual report to formally announce the $5.9M refund to its members. This was the largest dividend in the history of the co-operative.
