Pushing Updates Live

Once you've published your story and need to go back to make some edits to the headline or the body of the text:

  1. Click into your story

  2. Start editing

  3. To save your changes, click 'Save'

  4. If you'd like to publish your changes at a later time, exit out of your story after double-checking you've saved your changes.

  5. When ready to push changes live, open the Publish Menu by clicking Update in the top right corner

  6. Click 'Review' to review your changes

  7. Update your changes to see them live.

To delete or unpublish a live story, please reach out to your editor.

If you see 'Read-Only' next to the story headline on your dashboard, you'll have to reach out to your editor to make edits.

Comparing Changes

When making changes to your live story, your changes will not be live until the story has been updated. The system will note these changes as 'revisions'. When first entering a live story with a change yet to be published, a warning will show in red stating the time and user who last made edits.

To view what has been edited:

  1. Open the version history

  2. Click on the specific revision you'd like to see

  3. Click 'Show Changes'

  4. Green signifies new changes whereas red signifies removed changes.

Note: If nothing is highlighted, there may be changes in the publish menu. Editing the live version will delete any unpublished changes from the system.
