To add a Chart from Excel or a Map, please reach out to your editor to get credentials for DataWrapper.

DataWrapper allows you to create beautiful charts, maps & tables without any code or design skills.

DataWrapper allows you to input or import data for tables and maps the following ways:

  • Copy & Paste Data Table

  • XLS\CSV Upload

  • Import Google Spreadsheet

  • Link External Data Set

How to Create a Table

  1. Log into Datawrapper

  2. Select New Table

  3. Select the method you wish to input or import data for your table

  4. Once you've uploaded your data, then click proceed

  5. Double-check the data is inputted correctly, then click proceed

After you create or import your table/chart

  1. Customize it

  2. Toggle the fullscreen option

  3. Click on the link

  4. Copy that hyperlink from your browser

  5. Paste the url for the chart or table into your Bertie story

Want to add hyperlinks into your table?

Step 1

In #2 Check & Describe > Table, place [ brackets ] around the text and ( parentheses ) around the link

In #3 Visualize > Customize Table > check the "Parse Markdown" box
