This article will walk you through how to set up your welcome email. This is the first email that a new subscriber will receive after signing up to your newsletter.

Navigating to the Welcome Email Editor

  1. On the Home page, select the desired Newsletter within the Publication dropdown

  2. Click the "Welcome Email" button

  3. This will bring you to a page to customize your welcome email from a pre-populated message we've provided. Here you can introduce yourself, what you write about, and give readers an idea of what they can expect in upcoming newsletter issues.

Formatting Your Welcome Email

Within the email editor, you can edit the email subject line, headline, and use bold, italics, underline, hyperlinks, subscript, superscript, bulleted lists, numbered lists, & subheadings within the text.

To format text and insert hyperlinks:

  • Highlight the desired text and the format toolbar will appear.

  • Select bold, italic, underline, subscript, superscript, hyperlink, bullet list, numbered list, subheading 2, and subheading 3

  • To link websites to text, use the hyperlink function.

  • Select the link icon and paste the URL

  • Click enter

*Note: Embeds are not compatible within the welcome email.

Previewing Your Welcome Email

Once you have finished editing, you are now ready to preview the email.

  1. Click the "Preview" button at the top of the page

  2. Enter the email address to send a preview of the welcome email to. You can enter multiple addresses by separating them with a comma.

3. Once you are ready to save your changes to the welcome email, click the yellow "Update" button at the top left. Any new subscribers from this point forward will receive the newly updated email.
