Sometimes, if people see a very high goal, they can get put off from donating as the goal seems out of reach.
You can increase the chance of your program or fundraiser's success by using the Smart Milestones feature. This provides a moving target as donors donate.
Just click the button to accept the Smart Milestones, and then the first goal will be set at $100
When that $100 is reached, the goal automatically doubles to $200.
When that is reached, then $400 becomes the goal.
And so on. The goal doubling each time it is reached.
You can turn the Smart Milestones off at any point and revert back to a set goal if you wish.
