We’ve been made aware of scam emails sent from Gmail addresses falsely claiming to offer large grants or funding opportunities from Better Giving.
Please note that Better Giving does not award or distribute grants and does not contact anyone with unsolicited offers of money.
If you receive such an email:
Do not reply or share any personal or financial information.
Do not click any links or download attachments.
Report the email directly in your email client:
In Gmail, open the message, click the three dots (⋮) in the top right, and select “Report phishing”.
In Outlook, select the message, click “Report” > “Phishing”.
You can also forward the message to support@better.giving so we’re aware of the scam attempt.
Delete the email once reported.
Better Giving will never contact you from a personal Gmail address or offer unsolicited funding. If you’re ever unsure whether a message is genuine, please reach out to us directly through our official website.
