How do I register as a nonprofit?

Any non-profit can sign up - from anywhere in the world!

To register and start receiving donations, simply complete this registration process.

NOTE: you first create your own personal user account to be able to sign in, then can start the registration process.

To help you get started, here are a few hints and tips to help you on the way - you can also watch the videos below.

We recommend getting the documentary evidence ready to upload before you start registering. All documentation is confidential and NOT published at all.

NOTE: there is a slightly different process for US and non-US based nonprofits. Please choose the correct option when registering for your new account.

ESSENTIAL for all:

1) a recent bank statement for your nonprofit

Once you start, you get an email with the application code and you can stop and start the registration at any time using that code. For example, if you do need to gather copies of documents for higher levels.

  1. Start the registration

  2. Add in details of your nonprofit and who you are.

  3. If necessary, add your proof of identity as a pdf or jpeg of such as your passport or driving license

  4. Add the document or details that proves your status as a nonprofit or show your application for charitable status.

  5. If a NON-US registered charity, sign the 'fiscal sponsorship' document. If you haven't considered this before, find out why fiscal sponsorship is such a good idea for non-US nonprofits.

  6. Add your bank details and bank proof for donations to be sent to you weekly.

  7. If all’s good - submit the application.

Once complete, we check the application and you will receive an email to indicate success or rejection of the application, with a reason. You are able to resubmit at a later date if rejected.

If successful, your account will be up and running.

Now just connect to your account to add more details about your nonprofit, publish your page and everyone can then see it on the marketplace.
