Do you allow direct cash transfers?

Sometimes nonprofits need cash NOW rather than over a period of years.

Direct cash transfer is a high impact high ROI activity and there is plenty of evidence that this is so.

So, we allow both direct 'cash' donations AND long-term endowments via the Better Giving platform.

For an immediate cash donation that the recipient can use straight away, the nonprofit sets a percentage of their donation to be sent for immediate use. That can be 100% if the donor wishes - or indeed if the recipient has publicised an urgent need that requires urgent funds.

For a long-term donation, they set the percentage higher for the savings or investment aspects of their Sustainability Fund.

And of course, they can set the ratio at any point. 50-50 for example shares the donation equally between savings and investment account.
