Change the default distribution ratio

Better Giving is committed to helping nonprofits become more financially resilient, and these changes enable you to chart your own path there!

We have added a convenient high-yielding option to help grow your savings alongside our existing Sustainability Fund for long term planning.

Rather then having to choose a split and let donors choose the amounts sent to each account, nonprofits now have sole responsibility for the distribution.

You now have three options with every donation received; immediate ‘Grant’ to your provided bank account, ‘Savings’ (high-yield), and ‘Invest’ (Sustainability Fund). Based on your needs over time, you have the power to customize this ratio and strategically use your funds as you wish!

You can change the distribution easily in your admin dashboard and see the effect on any funds donated that month, or moved from account to account. Any changes you do make get reflected at the END of the calendar month.

It is important to note, the Sustainability Fund donation split will now be in your hands as opposed to the donor. We believe you should have full agency in how your donations are directed and used for growth. That is the impetus for this upgrade.
