Free Sub-Accounts

Betterteam does not currently support multi-user (where multiple people have individual logins to one Betterteam account). Our current solution is to share the same login details with all the team members, which is not ideal for all of our clients.

If you would prefer each of your team members have their own Betterteam account and you want to get one single invoice or consolidated bill, we offer clients free sub-accounts in a few different options:

Team Sub-Accounts:

All the sub-accounts will have the same company name on them. The team members will not be able to see anything outside of their own account unless they share the login details. Team sub-accounts are often used in these situations:

  • Different Divisions: Different departments/divisions who need separate hiring pipelines but under the same company name.

  • Different Locations: HR teams in different locations who need their own dedicated workspace.

  • Different Hiring Managers: Different hiring managers who need to manage their own candidate pools.

  • Different Job Levels: Separate recruitment teams for different job levels (entry vs executive).

  • Temporary Projects: Projects or seasonal hiring teams that need temporary separate access.

Brand Sub-Accounts:

Unlike team sub-accounts, brand sub-accounts enable you to have a different company name on each sub-account. Constantly changing the name on your main account can cause long re-approval cycles with our job board partners. Brand sub-accounts are often used in these situations:

  • Subsidiaries: Subsidiary companies that have different company names.

  • Multi-Country: Your company has a different company name in each country.

  • Healthcare Networks: Hospitals, clinics, or practices and they all have different names.

  • Multi-Brand Retailers: Different retail chains each with their own brand identity.

  • Restaurant Groups: Different restaurant concepts/brands.

  • Investment Groups: Managing hiring for various portfolio companies you have invested in.

  • Educational Institutions: Different schools/campuses.

  • Property Management Companies: Different property brands.

  • Professional Sports Organizations: Multiple sports teams.

  • Media Companies: Different publications.

  • Manufacturing Companies: Different product lines or brands.

  • Tech Companies: Different product brands or divisions.

  • Financial Services Firms: Different branded services.

Franchise Network Sub-Accounts:

Most of our franchise customers have their own individual Betterteam account, which they pay for. Some franchise networks prefer to pay for one large subscription and include this in the fees paid by the franchisee.

Franchise network sub-accounts are only for franchise networks that:

  1. All want to hire under the exact same company name.

  2. Require individual Betterteam accounts.

  3. Want one consolidated billing account or single invoice.

If each franchise owner wants to pay for their own Betterteam account, this is already supported under our standard Betterteam account and is not a Franchise Network Sub-Account setup.

How to Set Up Sub-Accounts:

  1. Let us know what sub-account type you want to establish, including how many active jobs each sub-account will need. The options are 1, 3, 10, 20, 50, or 200 active jobs per sub-account.

  2. Provide a list of email addresses for all the sub-accounts.

  3. Tell us which email should have the billing tied to it. This can be one of your accounts or one especially set up to just hold the billing, like accountspayable@yourcompany.com

  4. Each member of your team will need to go to https://app.betterteam.com/signup and sign up for a Betterteam account with their company email address.

  5. Once they have all finished signing up, let us know and we will enable the accounts and they can start posting jobs.
