Managing User Roles in BetterTracker | Permissions & Access Control

Learn how to manage default user roles, modify permissions, and control access to contracts, products, and financial data in BetterTracker.

Default Roles

  1. Contract Product Manager – Full permissions for contracts and products.

  2. Finance Manager – Full permissions for company financials.

  3. Guest User – Restricted access to public URLs only.

  4. Integration Manager – Full permissions for integrations.

  5. Read Only – View-only access with no editing rights.

  6. Super Admin – Full permissions across all features.

Editing a Role

  1. Click Manage Roles in the menu.

  2. Find the role to edit and click the three dots (⋮) under Actions.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Modify:

    • Friendly Name

    • Description

    • Permissions (Company, Reports & Exports, Product Tracker, Contract Tracker, Expense Tracker)

  5. Save your changes.
