🚀 Inviting New Buddies
Option 1: Refer a Buddy (Referral Program)
Access the Refer a Buddy Feature
Open the BetterYou app
Navigate to the Account tab (bottom navigation)
Scroll down to find the Action Menu section
Tap on "Refer a Buddy"
Send Invitations
Click the "Invite" button located within the card at the top of the screen
Click the "Refer a Buddy" button
Share your referral link with your friends!
Note: You can invite people from your device's Contacts via email, SMS, or in some cases (i.e., coworkers) apps like Slack or Teams.
Option 2: Buddy Search (Find Existing Members)
Access Buddy Search
Navigate to the Account tab
Tap on "Buddy Search" in the Action Menu section
Discover and Connect
Browse through suggested buddies based on mutual connections
Search for specific names or browse recommendations
Tap on a buddy's profile to view their details
Tap "Add Buddy" to send a connection request
Managing Your Buddies
View Your Buddy List
Go to the Account tab
Tap on "Buddies" to see all your connected buddies
View buddy profiles, recent activity, and connection status
Buddy Profile Management
Tap on any buddy's name to view their full profile
See mutual connections and shared challenges
Access quick actions like starting challenges or sending messages
🏆 Challenging Existing Buddies
Start a Challenge:
Select Your Buddy
Go to Account → Buddies
Select the Buddy you would like to challenge
Choose Challenge Type
Tap on "Start a Challenge" to open the challenge selection modal
Select the goal you want to challenge your buddy with by tapping on it
Send the Challenge
Tap on "Send Challenge" to initiate the challenge
You'll receive a confirmation pop-up notification
Track Your Challenges:
Active Challenges: Find your ongoing challenges in the Community tab under "Buddy Challenges"
Challenge Progress: Monitor how close you and your buddy are to completing challenges
Progress Visualization: See individual and team progress with progress rings, percentage indicators, and visual progress bars
Challenge Progress Tracking
When participating in buddy challenges, you can track progress through:
Individual Progress Cards: See your personal progress with percentage completion and progress bars
Team Progress Views: View how your team is performing in team challenges
Real-time Updates: Progress updates automatically as you work toward your goals
Progress History: Track your performance across different challenges
