Beyond Chat bills AI usage through credits. Your company has a monthly Base Credit package, and Flex Credits cover usage spikes. Here you learn how both work.
How the credit system works
Credits are the currency for all AI requests in Beyond Chat. The rule is: 100 credits = €1. How many credits a message costs depends on the model used and the length of the message. You find the prices per model in the pricing overview.
Credits apply to your entire company: all users share the same balance.
Base Credits
What are Base Credits?
Base Credits are included in your subscription and renew automatically at the start of each billing period. Your company chooses the package size: €20, €50, €150, €300, €500 or €1,000 per month.
What happens to unused Base Credits?
Unused Base Credits expire at the end of the billing period. They are not carried over to the next month.
Not enough Base Credits?
Then you have two options: increase your monthly Base package under Settings → Billing, or bridge the month with Flex Credits.
Flex Credits
What are Flex Credits?
Flex Credits are additional credits for months with higher usage. You can buy them as soon as your Base Credits are used up: €25 per purchase, a maximum of 3 purchases per month. If you regularly need more, a larger Base package is the better choice.
Which credits are used first?
Always Base Credits first, then Flex Credits. Purchased Flex Credits never expire and are kept even if you change plans.
What is Auto-Recharge?
With Auto-Recharge, Beyond Chat automatically buys additional Flex Credits when your balance runs low. That way your team keeps working without interruption. The limit of 3 Flex purchases per month applies here too. You can enable Auto-Recharge under Settings → Billing.
Keeping an eye on your balance
Where do I see our usage?
Under Settings → Billing you see the current balance and detailed usage statistics.
Will I be warned before the credits run out?
Yes. All admins in your workspace automatically receive an email when 80% of the Base Credits are used and when the balance is completely used up.
What happens when there are no credits left?
If Base Credits are used up and no Flex Credits are available, the service pauses until new credits are available: through a Flex purchase, a package upgrade or the monthly renewal.
Important: Flex Credits are non-refundable. But since they never expire, you can always use them later.
