This article describes a few commons use cases for dynamic creatives.

Dynamic Creatives are creatives that can display information provided from different sources;

  • Advertiser product feed

  • Advertiser store information

  • Manually provided information

  • Data stored on the individual user / site visitor

To be dynamic, the creative HTML5 will need to be prepared to extract information provided in realtime via Javascript to the ad.

Use Case: Promote Selected Products

Run campaigns that promote specific products. Change products by altering the product selection from feed using BidTheatre DSP, instead of rebuilding the ad creative.

Use Case: Dynamic Retargeting

With dynamic retargeting, ads will show products that have previously been seen by the user at the advertiser's site. These type of campaigns help remind site visitors and push conversion.

Script to collect the product browsing history of the user.

A variant is to store information directly on the user object, and later display it in the ad creative. For example, the site may store the string "Mallorca" to the user data for a visitor browsing for flights to Mallorca. Later on, the ad creative will fetch this destination data and display it in the banner such as "Browse best prices for flights to Mallorca"

Use Case: Show Local Store Information in Creative

Keep a register of all nationwide advertiser stores and related information such as address, opening hours, logo or specific pictures. Use this information dynamically in creatives.

Use Case: Local Ad Campaigns Efficiently Managed in Bulk

Although the main point of dynamic feed ads is efficiency, it is possible to add manual and one-off content to ads if needed:
