Bigscoots offers 15-days of Backup retention on our shared cPanel services, utilizing the Jetbackup application for that purpose.

In order to restore a backup, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your cPanel and locate the JetBackup section:

2. As you can see you have a couple of options listed under the Jetbackup menu

In order to restore particular files click on the FIle Backups option. A menu similar to this one will be displayed, with each backup archive and the date of its creation

Choose a date and click on the File Manager -> Choose the file/folder which you want to restore -> Click on "Restore Selected -> Add to Restore queue

Jetbackup will initiate the backup restoration process. Do not close the window as the restore process will be listed on the right side of the restore option menu with a cogwheel spinning icon. Once it completes you will see a green checkmark next to the initiated process.

3. Similar to the FIle backups, in order to restore a database, click on the "Database Backups" option

Choose the database archive that you want to restore and click on the Restore button

Again wait for the process to complete, do not close the Restoration window.

That's it!
