DND:

The Do Not Disturb (DND) feature allows you to prevent your customers from receiving marketing messages or emails during designated hours, typically at night.

This ensures that your communications respect their peace.

Once the DND period ends, the flows will resume automatically from where they left off.


How Does DND Impact Flows?

When DND is active, any scheduled messages or emails will be paused and rescheduled to send after the DND period ends. This feature applies to:

  • Initiate-Flow: Dev APIs and initiate-flow from the CRM dashboard.

  • Webhook Triggers

  • Event Triggers

  • Special Date Triggers

  • Delay Blocks: Delays ending during DND hours will be smartly rescheduled for post-DND.


Important Notes:

  • DND settings are based on store settings, not individual customer settings.

  • The feature is not applicable in Test Mode flows.

  • Analytics will be updated once the DND period ends and the flow successfully runs.


Steps to Set Up DND:

Step 1: Store Settings

  1. Enable the DND hours for your store by setting the desired start and end times.

Step 2: Configure DND for the flow:

  • While creating a new flow:

    You can enable DND for a new journey by enabling the toggle button while creating the journey.

  • Enable/Disable DND through Journey dashboard:

    Select the contextual dots across the flow for which you want to enable DND settings. Select enable/disable DND option

  • Enable/Disable DND through Journey builder:

    Alternatively you can enable/disable DND directly from flow builder by using the contextual dots at top right corner.

1. Can I customize DND hours for different flows?

Yes, DND hours are set at the store level and but you can select the flows for which it will be applicable.

2. What happens to messages scheduled during DND hours?

Messages scheduled during DND hours will be paused and rescheduled to send once the DND period ends.

3. Is the DND feature available in Test Mode flows?

No, the DND feature is not applicable in Test Mode flows.

4. Can I manually override DND for specific messages?

Currently, DND settings apply uniformly to all messages within the specified flows and cannot be overridden for individual messages.
