Rubrics are made of criteria used to assess students' work to determine whether it demonstrate the competency.

Competencies are assessed according to a set of criteria found in the rubric. A student's work demonstrates a competency when it meets all the required criteria.

Rubrics are a helpful tool as students develop their work to demonstrate course competencies.

Accessing Rubric Samples and Criterion Information

Rubric samples can be accessed from within a competency at any time.  Not all competencies have the same rubrics. It is important to look at the rubric corresponding to the course competency.

Criterion descriptions are available in the rubric. Click on "Learn More" under a criterion to better understand how that criterion will be used to assess the competency.
