Billo Creators need your product so they can try using it on their own and show the product in the video. We do ask for brands to directly send their products to the creators' shipping address.
Please note that all shipping costs, including Tariffs and Customs Duty Fees, must be covered by the brand. Creators should not be required to pay or cover these fees upon delivery. For international shipments, please ensure that these charges are included and prepaid to avoid delivery issues or delays.
This includes covering any customs duties or import fees where applicable. Brands can usually arrange payment for these fees directly through the courier’s website.

Creator Safety & Privacy in Deliveries
For safety reasons, brands should only use a courier or delivery service (Amazon is fine too) to send products. Please do not attempt to deliver the product to the creator yourself.
If a direct delivery is unavoidable, always check in with the creator first and get their confirmation before bringing a package to their home.
This ensures the creator’s privacy and safety are respected at all times.
Important Notes
Creators should not be required to cover the cost of the product or customs duties themselves, as these are the brand’s responsibilities.
Brands often pay such fees directly where possible, but reimbursement mechanisms are in place if payment becomes unavoidable.
By adhering to these guidelines, creators can ensure smooth handling of customs-related issues without incurring unexpected out-of-pocket costs.
Add tracking information
Here are the steps on how to add the tracking information, so your creators can look out for your product.
Go to the Ship products tab of the brief OR in the Product Delivery tab of the Task Page 🚚
Click on "Mark as shipped"
Provide the shipping details by adding the tracking number 📦
Press Confirm and the creator will be moved to the "Shipped" tab
Product Delivery Status
You will be able to see the status of your product, and if your creator has received this on the Product Delivery page of your task 🚚
The product delivery page looks like this:
Delivery Status Meaning
⚠️ Received damaged (the product arrived but it is damaged)
✅ Marked as received (the creator can start working on your video!)
❌ Not Received yet (the creator does not have your product yet)
Have questions about the product status? You can reach out to the CS Team via chat, and we can help you out! 💬
Shipping a high-value product ($500+)?
If the retail value of the product you're sending is $500 or more, we recommend taking one extra step before you ship.
Billo facilitates the collaboration between you and the creator, but we aren't a party to any product-return agreement between the two of you. For higher-value items, we strongly recommend setting up a short written agreement directly with the creator before you ship. A simple agreement should cover:
Who owns the product after the video is delivered (keep vs. return)
The return deadline, if applicable
Shipping responsibility for the return
What happens if the creator doesn't complete the video
Many brands handle this with a one-page agreement sent over email, asking the creator to confirm in writing.
What Billo can help with:
Facilitating communication between you and the creator
Pausing future collaborations with a creator who doesn't meet their commitments
What Billo cannot do:
Guarantee the return of high-value products
Reimburse you for the value of the product
Act as a legal party in a product-return dispute
If you have questions before shipping, message Support — we're happy to talk it through.
FAQ:
Product Returns
Can the creator return the product that I sent them?
In most cases, no, we don't recommend asking creators to return the product, since it's part of the reward for making your video.
For high-value products ($500+), we suggest one of two paths:
Recommended — book the same creator for multiple tasks. The creator keeps the product across all of your collaborations, so a return isn't necessary, and you get more content out of the same item.
If a return is genuinely needed, set up a separate written agreement with the creator before you ship. You can message the creator directly via chat to discuss the terms. Billo isn't a party to that agreement, so we're not able to enforce the return on your behalf, which is why it needs to be agreed between you and the creator, in writing, up front.
Using the Same Product
Can the creator use the product they already have?
Yes! Creators can use the product they already have. If you hire the same creator from a previous task who already has your product, they can use the same product in the new task if they still have it. Creators are not required to keep the product for a long period of time.
Giveaway value
What is the giveaway value?
The Giveaway value is the Product Value or price that your product is sold for. This is considered a bonus for creators when they apply to your task. We encourage including this amount when creating your task 🚀
Ordering the product
Can the creator order the product themselves?
No, we do ask brands to send their products to the creators for free, as it is part of their reward for making a video for your brand. You should never ask the creators to order the product themselves. Their delivery address will be available to you, and you can ship the product to them directly.
