Part of your onboarding with Billy involves setting up your insurance requirements. This is foundational to your success with Billy. Before your kick-off call with Billy, please take a look at the below considerations.

PRO TIP:

Send over all insurance requirements,

no matter how small, for a smooth transition to Billy.

Do you collect specific endorsements?

Some partners require full-form endorsements, while others only want to see named parties for Additional Insured and Waiver of Subrogation in the Description of Operations. Please think through your endorsement requirements and send your Partner Success Specialist a list if applicable.

Here are examples of commonly required endorsements among our partners:

  • Commercial General Liability Additional Insured Endorsement

  • Automobile Additional Insured Endorsement

  • Umbrella Additional Insured Endorsement

  • Commercial General Liability Waiver of Subrogation Endorsement

  • Automobile Waiver of Subrogation Endorsement

  • Worker's Compensation Waiver of Subrogation Endorsement

  • Primary and Non-Contributory Endorsement

  • Products and Completed Ops Endorsement

Do you have vendors with different policy limit requirements or additional policy requirements?

For example, do you require:

  • Professional Liability from only Engineers/Architects

  • A higher General Liability Occurrence Limit from steel erectors and framers?

  • Pollution Insurance from only abatement subcontractors?

Please let us know about nuanced requirement groups such as these.

Are you collecting Blanket certificates that cover a vendor across all projects or do you have project-specific insurance requirements?

Are you looking to collect any non-insurance-related documents? Do you need date/expiration tracking for these?

We understand compliance tracking can stretch beyond COIs, and Billy can support that! Please let us know if you wish to collect non-insurance documents such as:

  • W9

  • Business License (Expiration tracking needed? Please let us know!)

  • MSA / Subcontractor Agreement

  • Safety Agreement

  • Any other “vendor onboarding” documentation
