This article offers helpful tips to successfully verify your Binance.US account

Updated over a week ago

There are a few keys to success when verifying your Binance.US account. Below, you will find solutions for some of the most common issues encountered during the identity verification process.

Tips for Successfully Verifying your Account

1. Ensure that you reside in a supported state/region. If you reside outside of the supported states/regions listed, you will not be able to register for or verify your Binance.US Account.

2. Confirm that your personal information matches your documents. Your personal information you provide us at sign-up must completely match the identity documentation that you submit.

3. Enable SMS two-factor authentication. Before verifying your identity, you must enable SMS two-factor authentication (2FA). Once verification is complete, you can switch to or add an alternative two-factor authentication method if you prefer.

4. Confirm your documents are up-to-date. Any documentation that you submit must be up-to-date. Expired documents and documents that are not fully visible corner-to-corner are considered invalid and will be rejected by the system.

Trouble Uploading your ID?

  • Ensure you have good lighting when taking your selfie and ID photos.

  • We recommend taking your ID photos with the ID placed against a dark background.

  • Please ensure that your ID document is from a supported state.

  • If you're having trouble uploading or taking your photos on a computer, please download and submit your documents through the mobile app.

Note: Lighting emerging from behind you will obscure your face and make it difficult for our systems to recognize you, as will low-resolution photos.
