Connect Slack from Settings, then Integrations. The Slack connection is workspace-wide (the Binee bot joins your Slack workspace once), and one Slack workspace can be linked to one Binee workspace.
Two ways to use Binee in Slack
Personal: message Binee directly by name, like any teammate. It answers from your own connected tools, exactly like the web app. Example: DM it "what is due this week?". Slack conversations appear in the web sidebar under From Slack.
Team: invite Binee to channels, where it works like a team member. Mention Binee in a public channel it has been invited to and it answers there, and point team automations at shared channels so their insights land there for everyone. Example: invite Binee to your sales channel and point a team automation at it that tracks payment emails.
Binee can read recent discussion from public channels it is invited to only; private channels and direct messages between people are structurally excluded.
If someone who is not yet a Binee member messages the bot, Binee can invite them to the workspace by email (workspace admins control whether this auto-invite is on, from the Slack card in Settings, then Integrations).
Insight delivery in Slack
When Slack is connected, Binee creates a private insights channel for you and delivers your personal insight notifications there, according to your delivery matrix in Settings, then Notifications. Team automation insights work differently: they are always posted to the shared channel the automation targets, and everyone in that channel sees them. Example: a team automation watching for unhappy client emails posts each flag straight into your project channel.
Confirming actions in Slack
When Binee stages a change from a Slack conversation (for example, creating a ClickUp task from an email you discussed), the message carries Confirm and run and Cancel buttons. Click Confirm and run to execute it, or Cancel to discard it. Replying "confirm" in the thread also works if you prefer typing. Only the person who asked for the action can confirm or cancel it, and a staged action expires after an hour if unconfirmed. Expired or unverifiable confirmations are refused with an honest message; just ask again.
If an action fails after you confirm it, Binee tells you what the connected tool actually reported (for example, which status names a list accepts) so you know what to fix before retrying.
