Overview
Subcutaneous (sub-q) injections are one of the simplest, safest ways to administer peptides such as BPC-157, TB-500, or similar compounds. With clean technique, proper tools, and a little practice, most people find injections quick, painless, and easy to perform at home.
This guide gives you clear, no-nonsense instructions—start to finish.
What You’ll Need
Reconstituted peptide vial (e.g., BPC-157 5mg mixed with 2.5–3 mL bacteriostatic water)
1 mL insulin syringe (sterile)
Alcohol wipes
A clean, sanitized workspace
Sharps container
(Optional) Medical gloves
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Wash & Sanitize
Wash hands with warm water and soap.
Put on gloves (optional but recommended).
Wipe down your workspace with alcohol to avoid contamination.
2. Prepare the Peptide Vial
Clean the vial’s rubber stopper with an alcohol wipe.
If recently reconstituted, gently tilt/swirl—do not shake.
Ensure the solution is fully mixed and clear.
3. Load the Syringe
Open a new sterile 1 mL insulin syringe.
Remove the needle cap (avoid touching the needle).
Insert the needle straight into the vial’s center.
Invert the vial and draw up your dose (e.g., 1 mL or your prescribed amount).
Check for bubbles → remove them by tapping the syringe and gently pushing air out.
Pro tip:
Even small air bubbles affect dosing accuracy and injection comfort—remove all visible bubbles.
4. Choose & Clean the Injection Site
Best location:
Lower abdomen
2–3 inches to either side of the belly button
Then:
Clean the injection site with a new alcohol wipe.
Rotate injection spots each time to avoid irritation or scar tissue.
5. Inject the Peptide
Pinch a fold of skin with your non-dominant hand.
Hold the syringe like a pencil with your dominant hand.
Insert the needle at a 45° angle.
Push the plunger slowly and steadily.
After injecting, keep the skin pinched and gently remove the needle.
6. Clean Up
Dab the injection site with a fresh alcohol wipe.
Recap the needle using a flat surface technique (never your hands).
Place the used syringe into a sharps container immediately.
Storage & Safety Guidelines
Peptide Storage
Keep reconstituted peptides refrigerated: 2°C–8°C (35°F–46°F)
Use within 30–45 days
Lyophilized (dry) peptides may be frozen for up to 2 years
Needle Safety
Never reuse needles
Always use new, sterile equipment
Avoid touching sanitized surfaces (needle tips, vial stopper)
Respect the Ritual
