Now you can add comments, leave replies, and resolve comment threads in BioRender! Watch the video tutorial here.

Add a comment

  1. In the toolbar, select Add Comment to enter comment mode.

  2. Click on the canvas to leave a comment.

  3. Type out your comment and click Post.

  4. Once you’re done adding comments, select Exit in the toolbar to exit comment mode.

You can drag the yellow comment symbol to move your comment pin.

Edit a comment

  1. From your canvas, select the comment you would like to edit.

  2. Click the ••• button (horizontal ellipsis menu icon) in the top right corner of the comment.

  3. Select Edit to edit the comment.

  4. Make desired changes to your comment then select Save.

Reply to a comment

  1. From your canvas, select the comment you would like to reply to.

  2. Type your reply in the text box below the comment, and select Post

Resolve a comment

  1. From your canvas, select the comment you would like to resolve.

  2. On the top right of the comment, select the circle with a checkmark to mark the comment thread as resolved.

The circle with a checkmark will turn green. The comment symbol will also change from (symbol with lines) to (symbol with a circle with a checkmark).

Currently, there is no option to unresolve a comment.

Delete a comment

  1. From your canvas, select the comment you would like to delete.

  2. Click the ••• button (horizontal ellipsis menu icon) in the top right corner of the comment.

  3. Click Delete to delete the comment.

  4. Click Delete comment to confirm.

Hide comments

  1. In the toolbar, click the ••• button (horizontal ellipsis menu icon) beside Add Comment.

  2. Click Hide Comments to hide comments on your canvas.

  3. If you would like to see the comments again, click Show Comments.
