Managing Students

This guide takes the teacher through the processes of managing existing students in their Class setup.

Biozone world now gives teachers the ability to manage certain aspects of existing students in their classes.

At this stage it is important to note that students can only be added by utilizing the Join Code process, or by the school’s BIOZONE WORLD administrator.

To manage Students that are existing members of a class, access the Student View, from the respective class.

Teachers can choose to to either do Bulk actions by checking the boxes next to the students' name.

Individual actions can be performed per student by clicking on the three dots to the right of their name.


~BULK PROCESSES~

Transfer Students

Select the relevant students to be transferred to another class, also administered by same teacher.

Click on 'TRANSFER STUDENTS' button.

Confirm the class the listed students and the Class that they'll be transferred to. Complete the transfer by clicking on the 'TRANSFER' button.


Reset Passwords

Select the relevant students who's passwords need to be reset.

Click on 'RESET PASSWORDS' button.

Click 'CONFIRM' button to reset student passwords.

You should receive a downloaded .CSV file containing the details of the new passwords that can be given to the students.

We recommend forwarding the following instructions along with the correct password to the relevant students:

Please go to http://world.biozone.com and follow the steps below:

1. Login using your email address as the username and (PASSWORD FROM CSV HERE) as the temporary password.

2. Upon logging in, you’ll be prompted to reset your password.

When creating your new password, please ensure it:

• Is at least 8 characters long,

• Includes both uppercase AND lowercase letters, and

• Contains at least one number.

3. Once your new password is set, you will be prompted to log in again using your email address and the newly created password.


Remove Students From Class

Please note that this action removes the students from the class, not the school.

Select the relevant students to be removed from the current class.

Click on the 'REMOVE FROM CLASS' button.

Click on 'CONFIRM' button.


Add Students To Group

Select the students that are to be added to an EXISTING group.

Click on the 'ADD TO GROUP' button.

Select the group to for the students to be added into.


~INDIVIDUAL PROCESSES~

Remove Student From Class

Click the three dots to the right of the student's name.

Select 'Remove From Class' from the menu. Click 'CONFIRM' button.


Reset Password

Click the three dots to the right of the student's name.

Select 'Reset Password' from the menu.

From the Side Panel you'll have 2 options:

AUTOMATICALLY GENERATE PASSWORD

Click on the 'RESET PASSWORD' button at the bottom of the panel.

You'll be presented with a password that can be copied. Click 'CLOSE' button once done.

CREATE A PASSWORD

Once you have selected 'CREATE A PASSWORD' a new field will be available for you to enter a temporary password for the student.

Once entered, click on the 'RESET PASSWORD' button.

Add Student To Group

Click the three dots to the right of the student's name.

Select 'Add To Group' from the menu, then select the relevant group.


Transfer Student To Another Class

Click the three dots to the right of the student's name.

Select 'Transfer To Another Class' from the menu.

From the side panel confirm the class to move the student to, then click on the 'TRANSFER' button.


Update Student Name

Click the three dots to the right of the student's name.

Select 'Edit Student' from the menu.

From the side panel, make the necessary changes to the student's name, then click the 'UPDATE' button.
