How do I rent clothing from Bipty?
Renting (aka Borrowing) from Bipty is SO easy!
Once you find the piece you want to Borrow:
Confirm the size & fit are right for you. Review the Lender Note in the product description, and visit the brand’s site to directly reference their size chart.
Pick your Borrow Dates from the drop-down calendar. When choosing your dates, be sure to set the start date at least 1-2 days before your event. Ensure that your schedule allows you to ship the item back to the Lender on the end date of your Borrow period to avoid late fees.
Click Request to Borrow and checkout. At checkout, a hold will be placed on your card and you will not be charged until the Lender accepts your Borrow Request.
How long can I Borrow an item?
We offer 5 pre-set Borrowing periods, ranging from 4 days to 20 days.
We do not offer Borrows longer than 20 days.
How to set Borrow Dates?
The key to a smooth Borrow is choosing a start date 1-2 days before you actually need the piece. This allows room for unexpected shipping delays.
For example:
If your event is on Friday, set the 4 day Borrow from Wednesday-Saturday.
If you’re going on a trip and your flight is on Wednesday, set your start date on Monday.
Note: You cannot set a start date on a Saturday or Sunday due to UPS having irregular weekend delivery times. If your event falls on a Monday, set your start date for Friday to ensure arrival.
How far in advance can I book?
You can submit your Borrow Request up to 90 days before the start date of your requested Borrowing period.
When is the latest I can book my Borrow?
Need a last-minute outfit? No prob babe! The last day to book a piece is 7 days before the start date of your Borrow. This allows the Lender time to prepare your piece and ship the item out. Bear in mind that the Lender keeps all the items in their possession, and pieces ship from their home address with Lenders all over the States. Booking earlier allows enough time for cleaning, shipping, and delivery.
How long till the Lender accepts my request?
Please allow 48 hours for the Lender to accept or decline your request. You will receive an automated text message once they accept or decline. If accepted your card will be charged, if declined the hold on your card will be released.
