If you are a "wholesale investor", and would like to invest more than $10,000 in a company, you will need to provide us with some information to confirm your status as a wholesale investor, typically in the form of an accountant's certificate.

The certificate must be from a qualified accountant, certifying that you:

  • have net assets of at least $2.5 million; or

  • have a gross income for each of the last 2 financial years of at least $250,000.

Most accountants will be familiar with these certificates. We have prepared a template that you can provide to your accountant which may assist them to prepare it for you.

You must have your Accountant's Certificate ready to upload at the time you make your investment. It must also have been prepared within the last 6 months.

Once you have your accountant's certificate, the investment process on Birchal is the same. But you will be prompted to upload your certificate (at Step 5).

  • Enter an investment amount above $10,000

  • At step 5 (example below) you will be asked to upload your certificate, and declare that your investment is not in connection with a business.
