Why Do Registration Items Appear as "Sold Out" in BirdEase, and How Can This Be Resolved?

Occasionally, registration items in BirdEase may display as "sold out" on the event registration page. This can happen due to settings related to your event's golfer caps or adjustments from the backend of the platform. There are two main reasons why an item could be marked as sold out.

  1. Manually Marked as "Sold Out" or Track Quantity Issue: You have Track Quantity enabled on that item and the Quantity is set to 0, or the item has been manually marked as sold. To resolve this:

    • Navigate to Registration and then Items

    • Find the specific item that is marked as sold

    • Click the pencil icon next to the item

    • Update the quantity or toggle off the Mark as Sold setting

  2. Total Golfer/Participant Cap Reached: Your total golfer/participant cap has been met. When this happens, items that would exceed this limit will show as "sold out," even if there are no explicit quantity restrictions for the item itself. To resolve this:

    • Navigate to Registration and then Golfer Settings

    • Locate the Total Golfers setting

    • Adjust the golfer cap to ensure there is room for additional registrations

After adjusting the settings that was causing the issue, registrants will now be able to register for that item.
