Please note: The following feature is available for all of Birdie’s packages.

Your Care Recipients can view their own care reports that have been recorded by their Care Professionals at the click of a button. This is a great way to get them involved in their own care journey and reduces the amount of time they spend contacting their agency for updates.

How to Invite a Care Recipient

Start by going to the Care Recipients profile, go to their About me tab and add their email to the Contact Details section.

Make sure to click Submit at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Once an email address has been added, go to the Share Access tab on the left-hand side.

Here you will have the option to share the notes with the Care Recipient by clicking the send magic link button under the Share with Client section.

When your Care Recipient opens the email, they will be welcomed to Birdie and can access their care notes straight away by clicking Go to my Birdie page.

What your Care Recipient will see

The first thing your Care Recipient will see is a summary of their personal details, along with their medication schedule.

If they click on Care log tab, they will have read-only access to completed and in-progress care reports, the Care log shows the last 7 days of visit data.

Here they will be able to see the check-in and out time of the visit as well as any observations left by the Care Professional, such as mood, medication, food and general notes.

Pro tip: You can also add Care Recipients to their own care circle if they have a smartphone so they can access their notes through the app. To learn more about this read this article- How to Invite Members to the Care Circle
