There’s a common misconception that deleting an app and reinstalling it is the easiest way to get the latest version or to fix bugs. Deleting the app can actually result in you losing vital data about a care recipient. And so, we strongly recommend that carers do not delete their Birdie app.
If there is a new version of the app available, you should download it from the Play or App store as soon as possible. By setting the app to auto update you can be confident you’re using the latest version. To find out more about updates click here.
What happens if I delete the app?
If a carer deletes the Birdie app, they could accidentally delete data that hasn’t yet pulled into the agency hub. This could lead to losing data from recent visits and could pose a risk for a care recipient.
Caregivers should only delete the app if the customer support team at Birdie tells them it is safe to do so.
