Verification requires a valid, unaltered original ID. Accepted documents include a driver's license, immigration document, government-issued ID, passport, or residence permit. All users are also required to submit a proof of address during KYC.
Accepted identity documents
You can verify your identity with any one of the following:
Driver’s License
Immigration Document
Government-issued ID
Passport
Residence Permit
Do this: Pick one accepted document and make sure it is current.
Originals only
Documents must not be altered in any way and must be originals. Copies or images stored on mobile devices are not accepted.
Do this: Use the physical original document, not a saved photo or copy.
Proof of address — required for all users
All users must submit a proof of address as part of KYC. Accepted documents are:
Utility bills: water, electricity, gas, internet, or landline phone.
Bank statements or credit card statements.
Government-issued letters or documents: tax declarations or certificates of residency.
Valid rental agreements.
Extra documents for some features
Certain steps can trigger additional checks: activating your BIX Account, getting your account details (IBAN or US ACH), or requesting larger monthly spending limits. In those cases we may ask for proof of address or source of wealth documents. It does not happen every time, only when a check requires it.
Do this: If we ask, upload the requested document in the app and verification continues from there.
