The BIX Card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, for both domestic and international purchases.
The card is accepted at more than 100 million Visa merchants worldwide, including physical stores, online merchants, and international businesses.
When a purchase is made in a currency other than U.S. dollars (USD), the payment network automatically converts the amount using the applicable exchange rate. Depending on the transaction, a foreign exchange (FX) fee may also apply.
The final transaction amount will appear in the BIX app once the payment has been processed.
If a merchant or ATM asks whether you want to pay in USD or the local currency, it is recommended to choose the local currency, as this usually provides a better exchange rate than the merchant’s own currency conversion (Dynamic Currency Conversion).
