How self-custody works at BIX

The BIX Wallet is a self-custodial wallet. Your keys are created on your device and remain under your control, so BIX cannot access your funds.

Your keys are created on your device

When you set up your wallet, your keys are generated locally on your device and remain under your control.

BIX does not store your keys and cannot access them.

BIX cannot access your funds

Because BIX does not have access to your keys, it cannot move, spend, freeze, lend, or otherwise use the funds in your wallet.

Your assets always remain under your control.

Recovering access

You do not need to save a seed phrase to use BIX.

If you change devices, you can sign in again with your account to regain access to your wallet.

If you want to use your wallet in another compatible application, you can export your private key from the app settings. Never share your private key with anyone.
