Running into a login hiccup? This guide will help you troubleshoot the most common Blackout login errors fast so you can get back to lighting in no time.

🔒 "Invalid login credentials"

What it means: Your login credentials aren’t being recognized, or your account hasn’t been migrated yet if you have never logged into Blackout v2.


How to fix:

  1. Double-check your email and password.

  2. If you’re upgrading from Blackout v1, follow the migration steps in this article.

  3. Still stuck? Reach out to support.


❌ "Network request failed"

What it means: Blackout can’t connect to the internet to authenticate your account.

How to fix:

  1. Make sure your iPad has internet access (try Safari or YouTube to confirm).

  2. Go to iOS Settings > General > Date & Time → turn on Set Automatically and confirm your Time Zone is correct.

  3. If both steps fail, our authentication system may be down — contact support so we can verify and assist.


⚠️ "You have reached the maximum number of devices"

Blackout login error you have reached the maximum number of devices code: device_limit_reached

Code: device_limit_reached


What it means: You’ve already logged in on your maximum number of allowed devices.
