Add Images to Unit Records

Add or delete images on Stocked Unit and Customer Owned Unit records in Blackpurl, including upload limits and file requirements.

Blackpurl lets you attach images directly to Stocked Unit records and Customer Owned Unit records, making it easy to keep visual references alongside your unit information. This article covers how to upload and delete those images.

Before You Start

Keep the following limits and requirements in mind before uploading images:

  • Images only — video files cannot be uploaded to unit records.

  • Maximum of 50 images per unit record.

  • Each image must be in JPEG format and no larger than 1.25 MB.

  • Larger images can be uploaded but will be automatically compressed to fit within the 1.25 MB limit.

Add Images to a Unit Record

Use the Add Image button on a Stocked Unit or Customer Owned Unit record to upload one image at a time or several images at once. Images appear on the record in the order they were uploaded.

1. Navigate to the Stocked Unit record or Customer Owned Unit record.

2. Click Add Image on the record.

3. The Add unit images window opens. Drag and drop your image files into the upload area, or click to browse and select files from your computer.

4. Once the upload is complete, the images appear on the unit record.

Delete Images from a Unit Record

Only the user who originally uploaded an image can delete it. You must delete images one at a time.

1. Navigate to the Stocked Unit record or Customer Owned Unit record.

2. Hover over the image you want to remove. A delete (trash can) icon appears on the image.

3. Click the delete icon. The image is removed automatically.

4. Repeat for each additional image you want to delete.
