We have added the possibility of adding a product to an existing client. This new functionality has some implications for the way in which you are able to use the KYC Suite. On this page we will cover what you can and what you cannot do with this new functionality.

How to add a product?

To add a product, go to an existing client in the client file. Make sure that the party is a client by checking whether there is a 'Client' label next to the clients name. Currently we do not support adding a product to a party who is not yet a client. See future features.

Clicking on the quick-icon with a plus sign allows you to start the workflow of creating a new product for this existing client.

The workflow consists of three steps:

  • Open; indicates that the workflow has been initiated, but no further action has been taken.

  • In progress; indicates that the workflow-assignee is working on preparing the product details.

  • Review; indicates that the product details are ready to be reviewed and the new product may be either activated or rejected.

During each of the steps it is possible to add a comment.

Review Step

When the product is accepted, its status is changed to 'Active'. When it is rejected, its status is changed to 'Rejected'.

Only a user with the permission addProductToClientDoneWrite will have the ability to accept or reject the new product. To learn more about permissions, see our page about User groups & Permissions.

Consolidating existing clients

In older versions of the KYC Suite it was not possible to add a product for an existing client. When a client wanted a new product, they would typically be onboarded again. This led to having duplicate entries of the same client, with additional products, in the client file.

Now the KYC Suite supports multiple products it is possible to start a client consolidation. If you are interested in such a consolidation, please contact Customer Success.

Client portal and the Financial Investment Plan

Currently we do not yet support viewing more than one product in the client portal. In case a client does have more than one product, they will see the following message:

We are planning to implement this feature in the near feature, see also Future Features.

For the time being, we advise against using multiple products in the following scenario's:

  • In the case that your clients use the client portal to regularly view their data;

  • In the case that you require your clients to fill in the Financial Investment Plan for the newly added products.

Future features

We are always looking for ways to improve our product. Features that we plan on implementing in the future are:

  • View additional products in the client portal;

  • Adding products of a different type than the original product;

  • Adding new products for parties who are not yet clients.
