Edit User's Locations on Mobile
Any manager role's in Blanket will see a QR code at the top of their store feed. Click on this icon to view your location's QR code. Single store employees can scan this code and transfer to their new site.
The employee will see a "Move Sites" option in their MORE tab. They can tap this to activate the QR Scanner within the app, and scan the location QR code from a manager's phone and they will immediately be transfered.
Edit User's Locations on Web
If your position is a Manager role (level) in Blanket, you can edit locations for yourself and other users on your team from the web application. You can even move users from your team to another location that you may not have access to operationally; this would be helpful if one of your team members is transferring to another location that you don't oversee.
Log into Blanket on the web. web.blanket.app
On the left side navigation, go to MY TEAM, and select USERS.
Search for the user’s name you’d like to edit. Click on their name and their profile will pop up.
Find the Locations field at the bottom of the profile.
You can add or remove locations simply by checking or unchecking the boxes next to the location names.
To transfer a user from one site to another, simply uncheck the current location, and check the new location.
To give access to multiple locations, simply click all the sites you want this user to have access to.
5. Always hit SAVE at the top of your profile before exiting.
Now, next time the user opens their app, they will be on the new locations' team.
Edit Location Permissions
Single store managers can typically only see the team members within their location. There is a permission setting that will allow any manager-level position to see all locations within the organization within a user's profile. This will make it easy for managers to move/transfer users to other locations as needed.
An admin will need to turn this position permission on.
Find the Settings in the left navigation. Select Positions
Find the position that you're looking to add this permission to.
Click the 3 dot menu to edit.
Toggle the permission "Reassign Users to Any Location"
Troubleshooting
When a single store manager without the above permission tries to invite a new user to their team, they may see this error message:
This error message is because the user already exists in the system under another location. The single store manager will need to contact a district manager, or anyone with multi-unit access to make the change.
