There are two different ways to build templates - global templates and location templates. They are built the same way but require different access levels to edit. Remember that if you delete any template, you will also lose all historical data from that list. Do not delete templates.
Global Templates
Best used for templates that are static throughout the organization. These are great for consistent standardization across all of your locations. Building a global template requires specific permissions that can be set up within position settings.
Notes about Global Templates
Global templates do not need to be copied to each location. Locations are given Access to this template so that it can be performed.
Creators must grant access to specific positions in order for those positions to see the global template on the mobile app.
Global Templates can be assigned and scheduled just like checklists.
Any changes made to the global template are instant in all locations.
A global template can be copied to a specific location, but once a change is made to that template at the unit level, it becomes a location-based template and any further changes made to the global template will not affect this location-based template.
