Introduction

Blanket Labels is a feature to help you control food safety; print 6 labels per second! Labels are an add-on service that is managed through your web portal and requires a Zebra label printer and a separate mobile app.

Label Printer Tools

  • Zebra ZD410 Printer with WiFi & Bluetooth or Bixolon SLP-DX220BG.

  • Blanket Labels app (separate from Blanket Pro) Available on IOS & Android

  • 2x1 labels

Setting Up the Zebra Printer

  1. Plug in the printer and turn it on. On the bottom of the printer, locate the serial number in the middle of the Zebra sticker. You'll need this as a reference.

  2. Download the Blanket Labels app onto the tablet.

  3. Make sure at least one manager on your team has their phone number inside their profile (you'll need it to sign in)

Once the Blanket Label app is on the device:

  1. Have a Manager log into the Labels app using a phone number or email.

  2. Select "Settings" square

  3. Select a location from the drop-down menu first. Locations will be listed by address.

  4. Tap the Connection Wizard to pair the printer & tablet. The tablet should automatically connect to the printer once you see it as a selection option. After connection a sticker will print from the printer to confirm the connection.

You're ready to print!

Setting Up a Bixolon Printer

  1. Plug in the Bixolon printer.

  2. Ensure there are labels already in the printer ready to print.

  3. Download the Blanket Labels App from either the App Store or Play Store

Once the Blanket Label app is on the device:

  1. Have a Manager log into the Labels app using a phone number or email.

  2. Select "Settings" square

  3. Tap the Connection Wizard to pair the printer & tablet. The tablet should automatically connect to the printer once you see it as a selection option. After connection a sticker will print from the printer to confirm the connection.

  4. Important.... iOS users will need to enter a pairing code when connecting their device. The pairing code to enter is "0000". Once paired you will be able to connect the application to the printer.
