Introduction

Tired of lost emails excuses? Buried text threads? Blanket Announcements gets the information directly to your team, and you'll know for sure if they "got the memo."

Turn on Notifications

As default, every user will have PUSH notifications turned on for announcements, but users can opt to add SMS and Email in your settings on the MORE tab.

Create An Announcement

Creating Announcements requires a permission. On the Web portal, you can activate this permission on positions in the Settings Page.

Open your Positions, then check "Create announcements" for any position that you want to have the ability to create new announcements.

You can create Announcements from the Web Portal and from the Mobile App.

You'll notice a new Announcements Page on the Web Portal. From that page, you can click the blue "+ Announcement" button in the top right hand corner to create a new message.

From the mobile app, use the blue "+ Start" button to open the action drawer, and you'll see Announcements as a new option.

Give your announcement a name and add whatever details you'd like. You can upload files, photos, and videos (up to 3 min) to along with your message as well.

Then assign the announcement to locations and positions, just like we do with templates and issues.

Track An Announcement

Once the announcement is launched, you can start to track Reads & Acknowledgements separately from the Announcement table on the web portal.

The "For Me" tab will show you any announcements that you need to see. "Manage Announcements" will show you any messages that you've sent out and how many views each has. Click the stats to get a detailed view of specific users.

View Announcements on Mobile

Announcements currently live under the MORE tab. When you have a new announcement waiting to be read, there will be a red indicator dot.

You'll be able to see all your Announcements that are Unread, Read, and Acknowledged. Tap each to open and view anytime.

Once a message is opened, the status will automatically change to "Read." Users have to manually tap "Acknowledge" in the top right to confirm the message.

Users can also leave comments, add photos or attachments to the Announcement which will be seen by all users assigned to this message. This feature allows users to ask questions, or leave valuable feedback that can be shared by all.
