How Lookup Works

When searching for an address there are two modes of operation with some options that you can adjust.

  1. A preplan is found at or near that address

  2. A list of preplans and water supplies are shown "In the Area"

In most cases, the default settings are automatically tuned to work for the vast majority of our clients.

However, if any of the following happen frequently, consider adjusting some of the customizable values to see if your problem is alleviated. Don't hesitate to contact us if you are still having issues.

I want to see the map view more often than not

Alternatively, if you more frequently want to have greater situational awareness and see what is "In The Area" of the address with nearby preplans and water supplies:

  • Decrease the Custom Match Radius to something like 0.01

This shows a result of a search that is about 250 feet from the nearest preplan:

I expected the preplan to open automatically

An address has been entered that is definitely on the premises of a large footprint preplan (for example a large apartment complex that spans blocks and multiple formal postal addresses). However it is not close enough to the official address that the preplan uses, and therefore it is not found as a match:

  • Increase the Custom Match Radius

Searching for the same address above but with an increased Custom Match Radius:

Yields a "direct hit" and opens the nearest preplan:
