Blike has arranged for its Bikes and locks to be insured against accidental loss, theft and damage at its own cost. It is therefore important that you notify Blike or our insurer immediately of any loss or damage.

Subject to meeting your obligations as outlined in your hire agreement, you are not responsible for theft, damage or loss, but an excess fee of £250 will be payable by you.

Your obligations are summarised below:

· the Equipment remains the property of Blike and you may not profit from, transfer, sell or otherwise dispose of the Equipment;

· you must retain possession of the Equipment. Use for commercial hire & reward, racing, speed rides, delivery and courier services are not permitted;

· you must ensure the Equipment is kept within secure premises, or locked to an Immovable Object, at all times whilst not being ridden;

· when securing your bike you must lock it through the frame using a Sold Secure Gold (or better) rated lock and be able to produce a lock key when required;

· you must not leave your Equipment unattended for more than 24 hours, unless in secure premises;

· in the event of damage or loss, you must not repair or replace the Equipment yourself;

· you must obtain a police crime reference number where theft has occurred;

· you must supply satisfactory physical evidence of loss or disappearance of the Equipment if applicable;

· you must ensure the Equipment is used safely and maintained properly in accordance with any instructions provided by the manufacturer(s) of the Equipment and/or by Blike. No modifications or conversions are permitted to the Equipment;

· the bike Equipment is provided with a manufacturer’s warranty to cover manufacturing defects. However you must ensure you do nothing to invalidate the warranty
